About us

Our Aims

Our aim is to provide a happy, warm, stable and secure environment in which the children can have fun and develop naturally in their own time. The staff, the position and layout of the nursery help us to achieve this. We have excellent qualified staff that care for the health and safety and welfare of the children and they ensure that their needs are met. At all times the staff will ensure that they have the interests and safety of the children at heart. They set clear understandable expectations and limits, act as good role models for the children, possess a sense of humour and generate interest.

Safeguarding Children

The staff at Rainbow Nursery are trained in safeguarding children and have refresher courses every three years. It is our duty to protect the children. We have a safeguarding children policy in place, which is available for parents to read.

Any lumps and bumps that are noticed on a child that have not been bought to our attention will be recorded in the unexplained incidents book. It will then be bought to the attention of the parent at the end of the day.

Staff Training

Our nursery staff have relevant child care and education qualifications, they also receive external training opportunities that the Local Education Authority provide. We also have in house training to develop a wealth of knowledge. The staff are trained in Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding Children and Basic Food and Hygiene these are refreshed every three years.
